Right now I’m on page 296 of Snakehead, the new Alex Rider novel by Anthony Horowitz. It’s a blast!
Alex has gone undercover to bust a people-smuggling racket from Indonesia to Darwin. And along the way, he has messed with Major Ya, a truly nasty agent from Scorpia. And discovered a massive stolen bomb.
There are some killer scenes. My favourite so far is when Alex survives a Thai kick-boxing fight, only to land in a river where some friendly rats decide it mght be nice to crawl over him. Yeeewwww!!!!
What are you reading? Tell us and you can win prizes.
PS: We will have copies of Snakehead to give away at the Bookgig on 22 and 23 November.

I just finished reading the book of lies and master of the books. Out of the two I really like the first one, and that’s mostly because of the fact that I reallly like poetry and the little extract at the back is a small poem.

I have been reading The Pheonix Files and find it quite an interesting book. This book is very simple but has a twist to it. It is about how a person named Luke is sent to Pheonix in a helicopter with tinted brown windows, and when they landed they felt the place was quite strange as the only transportation is a bike…..it is a mystery unknown by man…and it is up to luke and his friends to uncover the secret of Phoenix….I highly recommend you read it!!!!

I’ve started reading “Heroes of the Valley” and on the first page I got brain freeze. I read 13 pages and had to put the book down because I got confused and the style of writing just mumbled on too much. That’s my opinion.

I’ve currently been reading the book “Death Ray” which is part of the special operations series. The protagonist in the story is a Norwegian teenager by the name of Finn Gunnerson. His accomplices are Loki and Freya who are secret agents in WWII. The cover is very interesting and the writing style is better than books I’ve read. The plot reminds me of Going Solo written by Roald Dahl. Very interesting.
